The Liebster Award is given by bloggers to bloggers, to promote the blogging sites we love and support.

Accepting the nomination comes with these conditions:
1. Post the award on your blog.
2. Thank the blogger who presented the award and link back to their blog.
3. Nominate 5-11 bloggers whom you feel deserve this award and have fewer than or equal to 3,000 followers.
4. Answer 11 questions posted by the nominator, and ask your nominees 11 questions.

How fun! Thank you! I was nominated by the talented Jazen, author of many wonderful stories including Kiss of a Vampire. My favorite story by Jazen is to this day Fiendish, which I read when she posted it online as a Sims illustrated story, and then again after she published it. Seth was an unforgettable character, and I look forward to Calida’s continuing story.

Oh! And Daijah nominated me too! Daijah’s the author of many great stories–Beauty is the one I nominated her for, and remains a favorite. Lily nominated me as well <3 I ran across her in the comment threads of some of our mutuals and checked her out. Her story is a 100 bc. I’ve always felt those would be too hard to write, but she does it in such a way that makes the challenge not only believable, but relatable. I will get you guys’ questions answered tonight!

I don’t know how many followers anyone actually has. These are a collection of in-depth stories, casual tumblr stories, stories based on gameplay challenges, you name it. My nominations, in no particular order:

Beauty, by Daijah
Rumor Has It, by Spladoum
Debit Family, by Goatkibble
A Story With No Title, by Mypalsim
The Kahekilis, by Nirar
5 Years Later, by Treason and Plot
Jill’s 100 Baby Challenge, by Lily
The Danevbie Legacy, by Serindeppity

Jazen’s questions:
1. How would you achieve world peace? (yes I’m laughing as I type that LOL)

I’m doubtful world peace is possible, to be honest. Between politics and religion, everyone’s got an agenda. In a perfect world, we’d all be equals and poverty wouldn’t exist. In reality, the closest we can get to perfection and peace is to do what we can for our fellow humans and to reserve judgment as often as possible.

2. Vanilla game or CC user? Why?

CC user, because vanilla game is D:  Nope!

3. Do you prefer to make your own sims for your stories or use sims made by friends?

I’m not terribly creative in that aspect, so usually I just makeover game sims or use sims made by others. I love using some of my favorite story and legacy characters. As many know, for example, Colin Kahekili, from Nirar’s legacy, is one of my top favorites. Ahem, Seth would be a wonderful addition, too 😉

4. Do you ever think you’ll stop writing sim stories, or playing the game?

Not in the foreseeable future. With a baby due in four months, I’m sure my time will become much more limited, though. This game has seen me through the best of times and the worst of times, through homelessness, poverty, alcoholism, relationships good and bad, marriage, college, etc etc etc. I think it’s safe to say that Sims is a part of my life. That’s been true for fifteen years now, and I hope it stays that way.

5. Have you ever had your story veer off course from what you originally planned?

Oh yes. Kinda hard not to when your characters won’t shut up in your head.

6. If you were a sim, what would be your traits?

Hahaha. Oh this is sad.
Loner, bookworm, loser, cat-lover, socially awkward

7. What is your favorite sims EP?

Hard to say. I think Seasons, but I also really liked Supernatural and Island Paradise.

8. What is your least favorite EP?

Into The Future. Futuristicy stuff just isn’t up my alley 🙂

9. If you were stranded on an island, what (or who) would you want with you?

Kevin, Bob-kitty, and baby, of course. And internet and computer with all Sims EPs and SPs. And my Keurig with an unlimited supply of K-cups.

10. How long do you spend writing or rewriting a chapter before you publish it?

In reality, the actual time I spend writing isn’t much. I already have much of Generation 2 written, and have started on Generation 3. It’s posing and taking screen shots that I procrastinate endlessly on.

11. What is the 1 store set that EA created that you can’t do without?

Current favorite? Bohemian Garden, mainly because it came with so many harvestables and my sims live off the land quite a bit. Other sets that came with harvestables thus are also good for me–the greenhouse, mill, grandpa’s grove, etc.

Now then, My questions for the nominees:

1. What inspires you to write Sims stories?

2. Which character are you most attached to and why?

3. How much time do you spend set-building?

4. Do you have any personal rituals involved in your writing process?

5. Have you ever finished a 10 generation legacy?

6. If you’re into gameplay challenges, what challenge are you thinking about playing next?

7. Biggest pet peeve about the game?

8. Do you admit to your friends that you play Sims?

9. Have you ever dreamed about Sims?

10. What feature do you wish existed in the game?

11. Think there will be a Sims 5?
